FUTURE EVENTS

The next conference of TravelWatch NW will be held on Thursday 9 February 2012 in Wigan.  This will be held in the Town Hall. Further details will be available nearer the time.

You will be aware that TravelWatch North West receives no government funding and has to rely on donations from members and some commercial activity to exist. Despite these donations and in particular the generosity of Merseytravel, TWNW’s financial position is deteriorating.

As we go through the present period of austerity, finding funds is becoming increasingly difficult. Whilst TWNW does not wish to be a profit-oriented organisation it faces an uncertain future unless other funding streams can be found. Our three conferences each year have proved popular and worthwhile but despite the generosity of sponsors, still leave the organisation with costs.

Whilst we want to continue to offer these events at no charge, we are inviting voluntary donations from delegates to help to cover these costs. We hope that those attending will acknowledge the value of these unique events by contributing a few pounds when attending. Any donations can be made at the reception desk and will be properly recorded and gratefully received.
